Opinion:
This for those road warrios or internet junkies who cant live ithout a PC.

Leight Weight and long battery lie at an affordable price.

What a genius...I'm blown away! Bravo Acer!

Pros: 2nd card slot expands primary storage, lower price, larger keyboard, attractive design
Cons: no bluetooth, battery life
Opinion:
I believe the innovation Acer introduced here should be the standard for all netbooks. What a stroke of genius to keep the initial cost down and later on have the option of expanding your storage.
I'm envious now, how I wish my Asus Eee 900 has this feature.

Excellent Value for Money

Pros: Size, Features, Keyboard, Weight, Screen is great.
Cons: 3 Cell Battery, (I will replace it with a 6 cell soon (6-7hrs). Trackpad a little unresponsive.
Opinion:
I love this machine. I picked up Linux version for only RM1149 and it was with 8G SSD and 1 GB Ram.

Skype not installed on the original factory install, but I downloaded and installed the Fedora 7 release and it works fine.

Those who are unfamiliar with Linux may find it a little bit of a hassle to tweak the interface and install software, but i managed and i am a mac user. So linux is still fairly uncharted waters for me. There are plenty of good guides online though.

Will probably rip the current linux install off and make a tinyXP or nLite XP install. Others have had good success at it.

I was pleased with the price i got (1149RM) and that included 1gig of RAM (usually only half that!).

Tiny machine for getting in touch outside

Pros: Light, Compact, Fast boot up, 9" LCD, SSD mem is fast, SD card slot for flash mem expansion
Cons: No DVD-ROM, tiny battery, linux OS - limited applications, limited space for expansion
Opinion:
Acer�s Aspire ONE is a simple to use machine that is mainly built for internet. Weighing around 1kg, it�s built for traveling. It comes without a CD Bay, and with a meager 8GB SSD memory, it makes clear this is not a machine meant for much serious stuff nor much software installation, in fact, I was left with little more than 3GB free memory! It has a 9� LCD, which makes it comfortable for viewing on the move, and good enough to view the subtitle on the movie played.
I had been trying this for the past few weeks, and apart from some minor glitch during hibernation, otherwise I have few complains.
On the positive side, one remarkable observation is the short boot up time. It can be started within 25 seconds, likewise shutting down. And the battery can last a good 1.5 hr of internet surfing upon full charge. This tiny notebook is not entirely deprived of office applications ... Read more
