The good: Affordable; sleek design; six-pin FireWire; two batteries provided.

The bad: Poor air vent placement; no internal optical drive; both RAM slots filled.

The bottom line: Those seeking an affordable ultraportable with the looks to match have indeed found a gem in this Acer.

Got it at COMEX and am loving it. Get the free 2nd- and 3rd-year warranty for piece of mind. Surprisingly fast. 3-cell life is a tad short, though.
