Disappointed
Jan 6, 2009Rating: 4 out of 10 (Mediocre)
Pros: Good business phone without the bulk of a PDA
Cons: poor battery and consistent software problems
Opinion:
this is such a disappointment. I have been facing with 2 constant problems. (1)I was not able to call out from my phonebook and my inbox. (2) the phones gets disconnected after a few minutes of use. I have send in the phone for software and firmware upgrade, and they have even change my camera. But the situation gotten worse instead. Previously, I wa sable to shut it down and restart the phone so that i can use my phonebook again. But with the upgrade, it is now hopeless. I heard that this is a common problem with a few E66. Very disappointing performance from Nokia, otherwise the functions prove to be a good phone. Wouldn't recommend this for sales and business personnel.
LCD screen cracked?
Nov 21, 2008Rating: 6 out of 10 (Good)
Pros: Good looks, good specs
Cons: Fragile
Opinion:
LCD screen cracked quite suddenly, only after 1 week of usage. Glasss screen was completely unscathed, so don't know how the LCD screen could have cracked.
Nokia service center refuses to acknowledge it as a manufacturer's defect so repair / replacement not covered by warranty.
Has anyone encountered the same issue? Read in other websites of similar issues with Nokia's phones, but wonder if E66 is especially susceptible?
a pretty toy nothing more
Nov 15, 2008Rating: 4 out of 10 (Mediocre)
Pros: smart outlook
Cons: uncomfortable to control with one hand, poor battery performance
Opinion:
At a single glance, one might be tempted to test run this E66, however I am only impressed with its outlook, nothing more.
Battery performance does not tally with its ability and its applications. There is no point in getting a phone which does not have the battery capacity like the E71. And for its price, might as well stick with the basic 6500c.
I would give this phone a miss.
