Nov 3, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Sleek, Savvy T9, VoIP capability, Tactile keypad, Glitch free S60, Value for money
Cons: no front camera, camera flash, side buttons hard to press
Opinion:
find it one of the best smart phone around. got a E66 but prefer to use this but 3G is abit difficult as no front camera. and the design is sleek and beautiful but leave lots of fingerprint and scratches easily. Batt life is great too.

Another winner from Nokia: Familiar, Solid, and Reliable
Nov 1, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Candybar design, Familiar Nokia interface, USB jack, no joystick
Cons: Slick case is very easy to drop, scratches easily
Opinion:
I am a longtime Nokia user and will not use any other brand. I have long been a fan of Nokia's ease of use, familiar operation, and standardized chargers which allow you to use accessories on your new phones from your old.
This was my first phone with the new smaller charger. For a seasoned Nokia user, a new charger is almost unheard of, but it was inevitable and Nokia is switching to the smaller round plug for their new phones. Luckily, there is an adapter available that allows you to use your old chargers with the new phones. And, in typical Nokia fashion, all of the new phones use the same small charger.
Overall, the E51 is solid like a Nokia should be. It's got good weight to it and the battery life is adequate. The case is glossy and is very slick, which makes it easy to drop ... Read more
Otherwise a good business phone, but undermined by rather short battery life
Oct 1, 2008Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: Savvy T9, VoIP capability, Tactile keypad, Glitch free S60, Value for money
Cons: Battery life, USB Connectivity for Modem
Opinion:
I've been using E51 for 5 months, and admire most of its functions, especially T9 and its tactile keypads. E51's T9 word recognition is amazing: it recognize (in Indonesian) colloquial words like: 'nyokap', 'ngapain', and most common names. Using T9 on E51, you can easily beat QWRTY based phone for text speed contest. The S60 (mine vers 200.34.36) never crashed, and it work seamlessly with PC Suite (vers 7.0.7.0). So far so good. Add the VoIP capability, clear handset speakers, good form factor, and you should have found a perfect phone.
But in my opinion, the weakest link of E51 is the Battery Life (1050 mAh) which for me last far less than the 3-4 hour talk time (I am on Telkomsel grid). Plus the fact that when you use E51 as modem, it drains power even faster, as the software wouldn't charge E51 from your PC's USB port.
In general, there are a lot to like in ... Read more
smooth and efficient
Sep 14, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: battery,wifi and simple design
Cons: not for rough handlers, camera stuck on.
Opinion:
Definitely my best choice of Nokia so far as a buisness phone.Meets all my needs and the phone does not have any software gitches.6 months on no hangs or lags.Unfortunately seems delicate and prone to damage. The camera just added for the sake of it. I know its a buisness fone Nokia could do better.
