Very revolutionary product by Apple
May 30, 2008Rating: 8 out of 10 (Excellent)
Pros: Addicting
Cons: Poor battery, poor call sound and what's with the !*#$^%$ earphone jack?!?
Opinion:
I love everything about my iPhone, which I had jailbroken (now using 1.1.4). It's so revolutionary because it merges PDA functionality with extreme usability and style. The multitouch screen is addicting, and the fact that you can download apps off the web is so, so refreshing (FOSS fans will love this).
My only gripes:
1) Just over one day battery life. Yes, using WIFI and the iPod a lot does this, but why else would you get an iPhone?
2) Poor voice call quality. Sounds like hollow tubing, which will make you miss your Nokia.
... and the clincher ...
3) Recessed earphone jack. Why do I need to go look for a special and costly adaptor to use my expensive earphones?!?
trouble battery
May 26, 2008Rating: 3 out of 10 (Poor)
Pros: amazing when full of battery
Cons: miserable when out of battery
Opinion:
What amazing stylish fashionable trendy practical technical product.....
But it is not applicable on me, a heavy cellphone user. It's not like other brands cellphone - no spare battery can backup, and I need to recharge the battery after half day and half day and half day.... Trouble, inconvenience come along with the phone, I really cant bear anymore, I just want a cell phone talk to anyone anytime, don't much care about how much battery left.
Stylish seems not a good adjective on me.
Absolutely stunning
Apr 26, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Maps, stocks, flawless interface
Cons: No MMS, fingerprint magnet, no 3G(not necessary a bad thing)
Opinion:
Had this phone for a month now, and what can i say, absolutely great. Used to own a LG Viewty and a N95 before and although both these phones are superior in terms of specs like 3G, camera etc. It is not even close to what the iphone is. Iphone just thrash out all the stuff that is seldom used on regular phones like MMS which maybe in the last year i have only sent less than 3 times and 3G which is great for downloading. But these are things you seldom use or expensive to use. Instead there is a dedicated email which supports all like Gmail yahoo and any pop3, MAPs that will route you from A to B. Stocks which lets you monitor. Alas a iPod included. It just works.
best choice when there is no choice
Apr 26, 2008Rating: 5 out of 10 (Average)
Pros: mutli-touch interface
Cons: evrything else is lacking
Opinion:
Most touch phones from other maunfacturers have already caught up with the iPhone in terms of style and functionality. This phone is only critically acclaim when it first launched, and that currently there is very little competition in the US market against it. If you see reviews where they say this is the top notch phone and all that... you'll know they have not seen or use LG Viewty and its sisters, and the range of Samsung touch phones.
This iPhone really needs some additional hardware before being introduce into the Asian market. Example: 3.6G, micro-SD slot, stereo bluetooth, etc.
