CNET Asia Review
Excellent
The good: Excellent QVGA OLED display; full set of connectivity features; bundled with 8GB microSD card; stylish design; decent build quality. 8
out of 10View score
The bad: Dual sliding mechanism not as smooth as we would like; flash is underpowered.
The bottom line: The N85 isn't a major upgrade from the previous two N95 models, at least not in terms of features. But if you are looking to replace them with a more stylish handset, the N85 is the one.

Nice but could do better....
Nov 7, 2008Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: Looks, lights and bells and THEMES WOW
Cons: Accelometer, sluggish UI
Opinion:
Been using this phone abt 24 hrs now...its got everything i wanted...decent GPS, WIFI and is fun...the keyboard is a bit rough on the thumbs but first time using a slider so will get used to it.
The two things which really annoyed me were the sluggish response of the system. Sometimes you press a key and it takes ages to register, sometimes it doesnt even register. Battery ran out pretty quick, fully charged it then was constantly online with it in a few hours zero :P i guess with a bit normal use it would go half a day not in power save mood cause if u enable the mood the screen is no fun. Also the accelometer (where the screen rotates when u turn the phone is very very sluggish sometimes it gets stuck for 5-10 mins and screen wont rotate. :@
Maybe cause i installed 3rd party software its working so slow and sluggish ... Read more
Best Value Feature Power
Nov 1, 2008Rating: 10 out of 10 (Perfect)
Pros: All The Best Feature of N-Series plus new tweaks
Cons: No Xenon
Opinion:
The moment I laid eyes on this device, I feel in love already with it and cant wait for this to be my next upgrade.
All the best features that Nokia created, new technology added like the AMOLED, FM transmitter, Feature Pack 2, Dedicated and interchanging buttons for multimedia, longer battery life among others packed in to one device and sold in a staggering reasonable price, this is the best phone ever created.
Surely I will miss the Xenon flash being a n82 owner but I can live with that for sure.
Waiting for this phone eagerly to riched Philippine shores. c",
Gd phone overall, but lack simple features
Oct 28, 2008Rating: 7 out of 10 (Very good)
Pros: Screen, buttons(ez n fast messaging), big memory card(provided upon purchase)
Cons: batt(not fantastic), message does not hav time(WTF?), refresh of library after every update
Opinion:
1st of all, the screen is wonderful, big, clear. Messaging is a breeze, capacity of memory card is sweet, 8GB. But, nokia put in all the gd features, but tis is an extrememly idiotic one they left out. Y DO THE MESSAGES WE SEND N RECEIVE DON'T HAVE THE TIME INDICATED? We don't know when we send or receive it! tis is so stupid, n to think it is a smart phone. Once when i transferred about 3GB of songs in to test the lagness, its very irritating that i have to refresh the library(to add to the frustration, its slow as well), unlike sony, its like automatically added in. i c many reviews praise bout the batt but pls, could u hav stated WITH OR WITHOUT ACTIVATING OF THE POWER SAVING MODE. When the power saving mode is off, the batt drains quite abit, i played a simple game(not n gage) for bout a short moment, when i stopped, ... Read more
