Sony Bravia KLV-46W400A (46-inch LCD)
CNET Asia Review
7.3
out of 10View score
The bad: Skewed colors; soft PC text; lackluster sound; very pricey.
The bottom line: The KLV-46W400A's new facelift may have addressed its predecessor's aesthetic deficiency. However, color accuracy and mediocre sound are caveats for this entry-level full-HD LCD panel.

Value for money if you think of the value more than the price.
Nov 3, 2008Rating: 9 out of 10 (Spectacular)
Pros: Crisp clear videos, lotsa features
Cons: A little pricey on the side though...
Opinion:
I ordered this unit as a replacement for my 10 year old Wega 29" that just suddenly died on me. So far, all of my 1080p videos are very crisp. Xbox360 games and Wii games grab you out on the initial game loads. My only gripe is that i have to reprogram all of the channels from my cables since they're all in sequential order and not the way the cable company feeds it. And when there's a delay when changing channels. but i think these glitches apply to all LCD TVs regardless of brand. all in all, it's a winner for me!
worst lcd i've ever had

Pros: nice modern design and sturdy materials
Cons: bad quality and pricey
Opinion:
I bought my unit last May as a replacement to my 47-inch Philips full HD tv which i sold to a friend. I was lured by the brand and its impressive write-up in store product brochures. I connected mine to a sony BDP S1E blu-ray player. At first, the pictures looked so perfect and I was so happy about getting a sony. However, after two months of use, my unit started to conk out in the middle of film showings. Picture suddenly disappeared and only came back after tinkering with the menu. I contacted sony service center in cagayan de oro city, philippines to have it repaired but the technicians were equally at a loss on how to fix the problem. I reported the problem to the dealer but they are so slow in deciding on a replacement. Sony's after sales service is really bad. I really regeret having bought this unit ... Read more
Ridiculously Overpriced!
May 10, 2008Rating: 6 out of 10 (Good)
Pros: Latest and greatest from Sony
Cons: MSRP S$6,999
Opinion:
Sony's churned out another winner, but come on! S$6,999 for the 46-incher?
Where do they get off shafting the Singaporean market like that? I'm heading to Malaysia this weekend to pick this up for RM 9,499, that's under S$4,200. The warranty might not honored here, but at least I won't have to sell both my eyeballs and my left kidney to get one.
