The good: Rich and natural colors; low video noise floor; bassy sound; future-proofed specs; dedicated input buttons on remote; value-added motorized stand; three 1080p24 input-ready HDMIs; extremely affordable.

The bad: Average blacks and color gradation; flickers; internal reflection affects sharpness; soft PC text.

The bottom line: The Hitachi P50X01A may be the undisputable price champion in the full-HD plasma segment, but you will have to compromise certain aspects of picture quality to go with its affordability.

Pros: Rare to find JAPAN MADE, for Hitachi full-HD plasma its have simliar feature as samsung movie-plus n i watching concert at hm, is just like myself watching real true live at viewing
Cons: for remote control i agree is a bit mono finish...
Opinion:
as above for this plasma full-HD is a gd deal for now as not much product brands doing direct made in JAPAN, so those have it will agree with me, legendary plasma manufacturer keep it up HITACHI. lovin it~

Pros: Its Full HD, with frame rate converter, with wide colour gamut, SRS Wow and BBE. motorized swivel stand and very strong and natural colour reproduction.
Cons: Lack of contrast, soft dvd playback.
Opinion:
What can you say when its a Hitachi plasma at this price?!
NO doubt about this legendary plasma manufacturer. they produces good plasma all these years.. with this price, it is surely a bargain for full HD plasma seekers. Although it is a little disappointing in the dvd playback, but it worth every penny you pay for!

Pros: excellent picture reception , great looks ,MADE IN JAPAN panel
Cons: not any i can think of .
Opinion:
Those who know their Hitachi plasmas will probably be familiar with its Alternate Lighting of Surfaces (ALiS) technology. First developed as a cost-effective alternative for displaying 1080i interlaced signals, this has been refined to meet the growing market demand for larger full-HD TVs. The latest P50X01A is one of the best offerings into Asia with such new-gen panels. Unlike its predecessor, it offers true 1,920 x 1,080-resolution pixel-to-pixel compatibility with Blu-rays and HD-DVDs.
