Fizzle, not sizzle, for Wii launch
Jul 9, 2008 16:52
About 30 dog years after the rest of the world fell in love with Nintendo Wii, Taiwan is finally getting a legit Chinese-language model. That's right, while the rest of you were gettin' hammered and falling off your Wii Fit (the only way to play beer pong), Taiwanese were missing out. Err, well, not really. From the nanosecond that Wii launched in Japan, gray market consoles have been available to all and sundry in Taiwan.

An unhappy Apple marriage
Jun 11, 2008 15:10

The focus of the event, the new Motorokr E8 handset, a phone aimed, 'natch, at the young, trendy set unaware that iPods exist and who want music on their phones.

Recipe for telecom consolidation
Apr 16, 2008 11:06
Delta and Northwest Airlines may be getting together in the US, with rumors of other possible carrier consolidations. This is always a good idea in a bloated industry with more players than necessary, especially so in economic hard times. I said before and others echo for me: Taiwan's telecom sector desperately needs consolidation.
