Nintendo showcases new DSi, Wii games
Oct 3, 2008
Nintendo's long-awaited handheld console, the DSi, will feature two onboard cameras and music playback capability. See it first here.
At Nintendo's annual fall media event in San Francisco Thursday, Reggie Fils-Aime, president and chief operating officer of Nintendo of America, holds up a DSi, the new handheld device the company will soon release in Japan. While interest in the device, which includes two cameras and the ability to play digital music, is high, Nintendo said it will not release the DSi in North American until well into 2009 because it wants to continue selling the very popular DS Lite here.
