Roommates (2007)
If Quarterlife wasn't enough of an appeal to mainstream America's oft-banal taste, the MySpace series Roommates might've been a bit too much in the other direction. The tale of four fictional sorority sisters who moved in together after college ("When college ends, the real party begins!") is a little bit heavy on the pillow fights and catfights. The quality of the acting and dialog, too, is questionable at best.
But it's been successful enough for MySpace to run a second season with sponsors like Ford, and the News Corp.-owned social network has done a good job of fitting the show into its site, with profiles and video diaries for all the protagonists.
