How do I stream to my PS3 or Xbox 360?
First, make sure your console is on the network and turned on. For the PS3, you'll need to go to Settings, Network Settings and make sure the Media Server Connection is enabled. For the 360, nothing more needs to be done. While a lot of the NAS above should be picked up automatically by the consoles, Windows and OSX will need a little more prompting.Windows Vista/XP
If you're running Windows XP, you'll need to download and install Windows Media Player 11 (WMP11). If you're running Vista, it is pre-installed.Assuming your computer is already on the network and set up (and set to a private network in Vista, rather than a public one), simply open WMP11. When you hold the mouse over the Library button, a down arrow should appears. Click on this and select "Media Sharing..."

Provided you're running a private network, the "Share my media" option should be available, so click on the check box to turn it on, and click OK.

The next screen should show you your Xbox 360 (and your PS3 as an unknown device). Click on it, then the "Allow" button, then OK.

Click the down button under the Library button again and choose "Add to Library". Click the "Advanced Options" button, then "Add" button. Add in all the folders with the media you want to share, and click OK. These files will now be added into the Library.

Go to the Media blade of your Xbox 360, and select either Music, Pictures or Videos. Hit the X button to change the source, and your PC should now be selectable. You don't need to keep WMP11 open for this, just leave your PC on.
On the PS3, your PC should show up under the media options (Photo, Music, Video) as a WMP11 icon.
