It's a no-brainer. These models are practically of the same look and feel only that the iPhone 3G has a slight edge

Hi Jhei, actually not true. I heard friends say they won't be giving up their iPhone anytime for the 3G as they prefer the more solid feel and rear metal casing of the original, not to mention waiting till the bugs in the iPhone 3G are ironed out first.

Yeah, I too heard those sentiments from early iPhone 3G owners. In fact there are cases wherein the iPhone 3G's plastic back crack without any reason at all. I did hope that Apple could have retained the metal back of the iPhone. Other than that, still the iPhone 3G sets an edge; except for the bugs though.

I still hope that Iphone (original) will come to Singapore as I heard that the Battery life of Iphone 3G is really terrible. Also I do not need 3G. So the 3G function in Iphone is practically useless to me

The only advantage that I can think for iPhone is the multi-touch screen capability.
But personally, I would not buy an iPhone but rather I will wait fot the gPhone (ie Android phone) and the just can't resist that cute robot logo.
Anyway, what's so special about a bitten apple? LOL.

Few days using my iPhone 3G. Quite happy so far. My first smart phone ever and hopefully it will be the best phone I have.
As for Android, hmm. I guess it still long way to go until the actual product is available in the market. Nokia is also coming with its own touch screen phone called Nokia Aeon.

Frankly , why must Cnet do such a comparison ? IT's such a no brainer . Honestly, i prefer the first gen iPhone's design, the aluminum casing at the back makes it looks like it's worth $1000 but the new backing has cheapen the product by quite a fair bit i think. UI, needless to say, 2.1 is far better then the older OS.
