Are camera LCDs more accurate than notebooks'?

Question on Digicams:

The colors displayed on my camera's LCD are very different from my MacBook's. Which one should I follow?

Is your MacBook's LCD calibrated? If so, you should follow the tones displayed on your laptop. The screens on digital cameras are usually accurate only to a certain extent, and it may not be able to show as many colors as other types of displays.

Also, do note that the quality of the display on shooters degenerate over time. If your camera has an option to call up the histogram, use that to determine whether or not your exposure for the shot is correct.

Unfortunately, camera histograms aren't that reliable either, especially the monochrome ones.
