Palm TX or HP iPaq 112?

Sep 23, 2008

Question on Handhelds:

Don't ask me why, but I'm not partial to using PDA-phones and would rather keep them separate. Now that my HP iPaq 3870 has died, I need a replacement and I've managed to narrow it down to two choices. Can you tell me the difference between the Palm TX and the HP iPaq 112 Classic?

The biggest difference between those two you have listed is the OS. The Palm TX uses Palm OS while the HP iPaq 112 Classic uses Windows Mobile. There are other specifications and size considerations, but those are secondary.

Since you have been using an iPaq before this, it would therefore be easier for you to transfer all your data onto another iPaq running Windows Mobile. I feel that the choice is pretty obvious for you, go with the iPaq 112 because there won't be much of a change in the way you have done things with your HP 3870.
