I recently purchased a Toshiba 42XV500A LCD TV and tried to connect it to my old Pioneer DVR-520H-S DVD recorder. I followed the instructions but can't get the DVD recorder to work with the TV. Can you take me through the standard method to see if I am missing something?

It should be relatively straightforward in this case. For the best picture quality, just use a component-video cable to hook up the Pioneer recorder to the Toshiba TV.
