Is fuzzy scrolling text on my plasma TV normal?

Sep 7, 2008

Question on Home Entertainment:

When I watch Sky News or Bloomberg on my Pioneer plasma TV, the text in the streaming banner at the bottom of the screen goes fuzzy at times. Particularly on Bloomberg when they switch to advertisements. When they revert to "live" images the text comes back into focus.

Do you know why this is happening?

There're a couple of possibilities. One is the broadcast quality and the other, an issue with the Pioneer plasma TV. You should verify the problem on another TV or check out your neighbor's TV reception. If the fuzzy text is not a recurring problem in other instances, it's time to call up your local Pioneer office for further assistance.

To reduce the fuzzyness of scrolling text in your Pioneer plasma TV, I have found that switching off PureCinema solves this problem. This setting can be found in Picture -> Pro Adjust.
