What's wrong with the bundled ASUS P320 external antenna?

Sep 2, 2008

Question on Handhelds:

I just bought the ASUS P320 and I found an external GPS antenna that came together with the device inside the box. I found that when I connected the external antenna to the device, I lose the GPS signal altogether. What should I do to make use of the external GPS antenna?

Look at this link.

The "external GPS antenna" that you mentioned looks like the gold-colored connector at the bottom of the page, right? That's not an antenna, it's a connector for you to attach an optional external antenna. This is for those who have antennae mounted on their cars.

So, plugging that thing into your P320 by itself does nothing.

Got a question of your own?

You should be able to use the GPS without the need for the external connector, unless you have an external GPS antenna for use inside a fast moving vehicle...
