Question on Mobile Phones:
I am switching over from Windows Mobile to Symbian OS for speed and stability reasons. The thing is, I don't understand why Nokia doesn't create Contacts application that allows sorting by company like Windows Mobile has been doing for a long time. Even with the latest E71, this feature is still not available. It really makes it hard to search for a contact when you can remember only the company name but not the person's name. It's really tedious having to go through the entire Contact list which can go up to thousands of entries.
Nokia also doesn't show company/position details for incoming calls, which makes it difficult when you have contacts with the same name but don't know which person (from which company) is calling.
These are really crucial to a business user to maintain good relations. So I just want to ask, is there a way, perhaps using third-party software, to enable such functions on my Nokia (Symbian) smartphone? Can you recommend any software? Thanks.

Alternatively, you can also use the default Search app on the phone. This program has gotten a few refinements in the recent months and is a lot more useful than it was. Like its name, you can also search of a relevant person in the company by just typing the name of the person you are searching for.
As for the second part of your question, I'm not familiar with any software that enables the display of the company name of the incoming caller. You may want to throw this question on our E71 product page to see if the rest of the users could help.
Got a question of your own?
