Gamers who've recently bought what they thought was the fastest LCD monitor at 8-millisecond response time, well, bite yourself. In about a month or two, ViewSonic will be rolling out what it says is the industry's fastest yet, at a whopping 4-millisecond response time--or about 250 frames per second. ViewSonic claims its 19-inch VX924 and 17-inch VX724 panels mark a major milestone in LCD technology which has allowed the firm to create "the ultimate gaming monitors with motion video performance rivaling the best CRTs". The real test will be if it's able to convince hardcore gamers and creative pros to take the LCD route over CRTs.
