Get your music freak on

About the writer
Edvarcl Heng usually writes about things both mobile and fun.

As much as I adore the earphones on the Sony Ericsson W810i, the audio experience can hardly be compared with one from a standalone speaker. Me? I like to share my music. Though the colleagues don't always appreciate it.

Office ghettoblaster

MP3 phones are getting popular, but hooking them up to conventional speakers isn't always easy. Phone technology is getting too advanced; while a 3.5mm audio jack is not standard for a mobile phone, Bluetooth connectivity is. The opposite can be said for loudspeakers; the industry is still teething when it comes to Bluetooth.

The i.Tech Music Master does the linking by supporting both A2DP (stereo audio streaming) and AVRCP (remote control access) Bluetooth profiles, letting the user pair his music-playing handset to the speakers. The Music Master is also good as a handsfree set and, with 600 hours of music playback, Sam can definitely play it again… and again.

Tech specs:

  • Bluetooth v1.2 class 2
  • Bluetooth headset
  • A2DP and AVRCP Bluetooth profiles
  • Supports multi-link function to Bluetooth handsets and dongles simultaneously
  • Powered by mains or four AA batteries
  • Talktime: Up to 35 hours
  • Standby duration: Up to 600 hours
  • Music playback duration: Up to 600 hours
