Apple appropriates attention for antivirus applications
Dec 3, 2008 12:06
The poorly written article (shame on you, BBC!) looked little more than fluff but a quick Google showed that the author wasn't quite off his rocker: Apple's support page (which, as of 2am December 3rd 2008 GMT, is no longer available) read Apple encourages the widespread use of multiple antivirus utilities so that virus programmers have more than one application to circumvent, thus making the whole virus writing process more difficult.

Remember when I hoped that Chris Anderson would give his next book away for free as a means of proving his point? James Boyle has just authored a book on intellectual property and the public domain, the online version of which has been released under a Creative Commons licence.

Some criticism with your popcorn?
Nov 28, 2008 15:59
So you watch a movie with a group of friends and end up being the only one to love/hate it. Wouldn't it be nice to have someone share your opinion, someone who has weight to throw around?

You may read this post for Free

My Wacom Bamboo
Nov 24, 2008 11:32

Christmas came early for me this year, thanks in part to my friend who egged me on. Still, it isn't quite the mouse replacement I was hoping for.

About Lim Sheng Ming
Tired of relatives misspelling his name, Lim Sheng Ming christened himself "LSM". Born in Brunei, he is currently based in intoxicating Japan where he is supposed to be doing research. A published writer, an accomplished Latin dancer, a Tai Chi practitioner and a committed Lifehacker, he still finds time to follow standards-based Web development and promote Internet accessibility. He is also one of the few who have switched from a Mac (but don't judge him for that).
